Understanding what causes you to act the way that you do is very important because every action you do affects you and the people around you. When we are engaging in behavior without any real insight into why we do what we do, then we are bound to have negative interactions with others. We need to be able to regulate our own behavior because it is normal to get upset sometimes but it is never acceptable to cause physical harm.
